A couple days ago We (Me, my parent’s, and Micah) got back from the Homeschool Convention in Rockland. The Convention was held at the Samoset resort so that is where we stayed for 2 nights.
The whole thing was sooooo much fun! I spent most of the time with Colleen, Shannon, Abby, and Billy Clarke, walking around and “exploring”.
My favorite thing was the sessions taught by Mike Snavley, He talked about Creation vs. Evolution, Spider’s, Ancient Civilization, The Flood, and Dinosaurs. He was really good! My Favorite one was either Spiders or Ancient Civilization. Did you know that if you wound up spider webbs into a pencil thick strand and some how put it into the air it could stop a air plane at full speed? And spider webb is the strongest substance known to man! I thought this was Amazing.
We also went out side onto this really long walk (That I think was a mile long) that led out into the ocean and at the end was this little light house sort of thing, when we got there Shannon, Colleen, Abby, and Billy ate lunch (I had eaten at the hotel) and then we had to go back so we would not miss swimming :).
The only thing I bought was a bag that had a picture of a Dog with a little kitten sleeping on his head. I thought it was the cutest thing, but when Luke saw it (A person from TeenPact) he just said “It’s a dead Cat!” Then he got a picture of the bag, put it on his Lap Top and then he just had to make it look like the cat really was dead.
Another really fun part was the pool. It was really big, and the deep end was 8 feet deep! We only went in twice because we were so busy being Volunteers and listening in Session’s.
By the time we got back Saturday night We were all soooo tired, and we had to lose a hour of sleep that night and still get up for church.
So over all it was Really Fun!
